Lightfair International 2018 Will Be In Chicago

LIGHTFAIR INTERNATIONAL 2018

Lightfair International will produce its 2018 trade show and conference in Chicago due a strategic move of accommodating its continuing growth, according to Jeffrey L. Portman, vice chairman, president and chief operating officer of LFI managing partner AmericasMart® Atlanta.

Lightfair Internation is a fair where light, technology and design converge to reveal new solutions, new knowledge and new discoveries. It is also the largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade fair and conference in the world. Each year, this event was held in different states of the US. In 2016, 27,628 people attended to this event. The event is sponsored by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), and managed by AmericasMart® Atlanta.  They have announced that the 2018 iteration of the show will take place May 6 – 10 in Chicago.

Due LIGHTFAIR’s first Chicago staging since 1995, 2018 event will convene at McCormick Place, which has 2.6 million square feet of exhibition space, making it the largest convention center in the United States.

LFI 2017 will take place in Philadelphia May 7-11 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. In its 2016 showing in San Diego at the San Diego Convention Center April 24-28, LFI set new trade show floor and west-coast attendance records.
